Insurance

Services may be billed through insurance or paid privately. It is most important in preparing to begin therapy that you have a clear understanding what your insurance company will and will not cover. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Many insurance plans also allow you to see a provider outside of the plan's network, and will reimburse you for a percentage of the cost of sessions.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?

  • How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?

What kind of insurance does DVPS accept?

We are participating providers with several insurance plans. If we are a provider with the insurance plan that you have we will file the insurance claims for you.

Can I use Out of Network (OON) benefits for services?

Yes. Upon request, a superbill will be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Patients using OON benefits pay at the time of service. Your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of the services provided and/or apply the money spent toward deductible or Out of Pocket (OOP) maximum amount.

Payment

Payment is required when services are rendered. We accept cash and/or credit cards if we are not a provider for your insurance. Payment will include any unmet deductible, co-insurance, co-payment amount or non-covered charges from your insurance company. If you do not carry insurance, payment in full is expected at the time of your visit. Under appropriate circumstances we will seek to work with you on an installment plan to help you manage the cost.

Please contact our office to discuss rates if you plan to pay out of pocket.

Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of therapy appointments. You will be charged the full fee for missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Insurance will not cover a missed appointment.

We require 48 hours notice for cancellation of multi-hour psychological testing appointments.
